After Watching Morning Glory...

I thought it was interesting that the shows executive producer didn't run around with a laptop all the time or log onto the internet on her cell phone. Maybe that's more necessary for newspaper writers that TV journalists.

TV anchors can be so childish! I would not enjoy being a messenger between two anchors who refuse ot speak to one another or arguing with someone to convince them to do their job. In many instances, adults acted like kindergartners, rather than adults emplyees.

News From the Democrat Herald

The Journalism 216 class of LBCC to a field trip the the Albany Democrat Herald office today.
This was a very insightful visit for me. I've never been on the production side of a newspaper.

I didn't know that this paper had recently switched to a morning produced paper. This surprised me, mostly because I never even thought about what time of day a paper is produced; I automatically assume it's made at night and distributed early in the morning for people to read during breakfast. I should have asked the reason behind this, perhaps it was asked and I've already forgotten. This seems more normal though. Having the paper arrive at 4pm seems backwards to me. I'm glad they switched production time.


Said "I just don't ever see this town not having a paper." And a few seconds later added Corvallis to that statement as well.
